Booking Manager - Configuration Tutorial PDF Print E-mail

This short tutorial is intended to familiarize the new Agent/Owner with how to use the Booking Manager. We offer free support to all members, so don’t hesitate to contact us with your questions or comments.

The booking agent manager is a dynamic feature that allows agents to setup your rental for online bookings.

Features include:

  • Configure Paypal® and deposit required for online reservations
  • Create seasons, seasonal daily rates, and check in/out times
  • Black out dates to make unavailable for web reservations
  • View, confirm or delete any reservations created online
  • Enter payment information for any reservations created online

Steps to Configuring Booking Manager

 
    You must first add your listing. While editing your listing your must select {addon_booking_calendar}.
  • After you have added your listing, you are able to use the Booking Manager. Start by clicking the booking manager icon. The Booking Manager will help you set seasonal daily rental prices, track bookings and manage payments.


  • The first tab you must configure is Settings. Start by entering your Paypal account email and checkbox Make Paypal Active. Paypal is not required for customers to make a reservation. If you choose not to use the Paypal option, you will simply receive an email.
    You must have already established your account with Paypal. If you do not have a Paypal account you cannot receive payments via Paypal. Visit the Paypal website to create an account.

  • Enter a deposit requirement (ie you would require 25% to reserve the rental property.) You can also set this to zero if you do not intend to have deposit requirements.


  • Next, select the Season Settings tab. This is required in order to set prices for Booking Manager. Start by Creating a season name (ie winter). Then select the start and end dates for that season. You can enter as many seasons as you require.
  • WARNING!!! Do not overlap season start and end dates.
  • Next, select the Property Admin tab. Enter your daily rental rates for each property and each season. Also enter your checkin and checkout times. You can also set unavailable dates to prevent users from booking.
  • The Reservations tab is used to manage reservations made through the website. After a reservation is made you must confirm that reservation.
  • After you have confirmed a reservation, you can use the Enter Payment tab to manage all of your payments. You can also use this area to set payment types and track reservations.

 

Note: It very important that all information is completely entered in the booking module. Errors will occur if seasons, rates, or check out times, are not completely entered. Agents/owners should avoid over lapping season start and end dates.
